We are expecting the arrival of our 3rd child, James Mitchell in May. January 21st we had a follow-up US to get some measurements they hadn't been able to get previously. During this US our baby was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and Aortic Atresia. Given we hadn't had any reason for concern during the first 22 weeks, this came as a big shock. Initially, I felt a rush of emotions and worry; but how blessed we are to know that God is in Control. He made this baby, allowing this "defect" of his heart. We pray that God will teach us what he wants us to learn and use this situation for His Glory.
We are creating this blog to keep our family and friends updated on our situation. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. Our strength comes from the Lord.
