Mitchell's Heart
This is our site for James Mitchell born May 20, 2009. Mitchell has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). The left side of his heart failed to develop properly. He has had 2 of the 3 required heart surgeries. (The Norwood and the Glenn). The Fontan will be the next surgery- as he grows, he will require additional passive blood flow to his lungs for adequate oxygenated blood for his body. We anticipate this surgery around age 3. Ted & Jodi, Today (7-10) we were finally able to view Mitchell's dedication. What a joy! (Our computer just wouldn't let us before for some reason). We pray for you all. He is now getting so big and standing. Exciting. God bless you as you continue to service God there in Florida.
