Mitchell's Heart
This is our site for James Mitchell born May 20, 2009. Mitchell has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). The left side of his heart failed to develop properly. He has had 2 of the 3 required heart surgeries. (The Norwood and the Glenn). The Fontan will be the next surgery- as he grows, he will require additional passive blood flow to his lungs for adequate oxygenated blood for his body. We anticipate this surgery around age 3. Thank you for your interest and support of our adventure.

Know that you all will continue to be in our prayers especially during Mitchell's surgery time tomorrow.
I am praying and thinking of each of you on a regular basis. Your family is a sweet blessing.
Its not how we handle the good times, its who we put our trust in during the difficult times. Your family is a sweet example of this!
